My Favorite Mascaras!

Laura Mercier Full Blown Volume Supreme Mascara

Laura Mercier’s mascara is perfect for everyday use. It defines and adds length but you won’t get the transvestite lashes that I dislike so much during the day…

Givenchy’s new “mascara” I loveeee! The reason why I love it so much is because it is a dark black tint that you can wear on your lashes without getting the mascara look. Therefore your lashes will look darker and thicker but in a natural way. You can also use it throughout the day to refresh your mascara!

I am so into Korean make-up lately…They have such good quality products at really amazing price points. I found this mascara browsing through Amazon.com and the super skinny brush really caught my attention so I decided to get it. I usually use this mascara at night because it gives my lashes such an incredible volume and length that in my opinion it’s a little too much to wear during the day. This is a great mascara and I think I paid just like $10 for it.

Till’ my next post…

My Favorite Toner!

rose water

Today I want to tell you guys about my favorite toner: Ella Grace Organics Pure Rose Water Facial Toner! I was looking for an all natural, alcohol free toner and found this one. It had really good reviews so I decided to give it a try. I was not using a toner before…and then I realized, after reading a couple of articles, how important it is to prep your skin before using your serums and/or moisturizer. This rose water balances your skin’s PH and is rich in vitamins A and C. I keep it in my fridge and use it after I clean my skin. It feels great and my skin glows instantly. Here is the link if you want to check it out! http://www.amazon.com/Rose-Water-Facial-Toner-Moisturizing/dp/B00NUFB8TO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1442939907&sr=8-1&keywords=ella+grace+organics+rose+water

Chanel for Fall…

photo 1Hello dolls! Chanel’s Fall Make-up Collection is here and I already have my favorites. Today I will review two lip colors and their new eyeliner. Let’s start!

photo(1)This is the new Stylo Eye-Liner from Chanel in Brun. Very easy to use. Great dark chocolate color which makes it more wearable during the day if you want a more natural look. photo 3

With this “stylo” you can make the line as thick or as thin as you want. It dries fast and it stays on but I was able to fix a mistake with a Q-tip and water…that said when it was time to take it all off, it came off with water but not completely, so I had to use make-up remover.

photo 2Let’s move on to my favorite part. Lip color!!! These are two of the new Rouge Coco Shine shades. #94 Confident which is a light/plum/lilac that leaves a sheer plum tint on your lips. Then we have the darkest shade which is #96 Aura. Gorgeous dark plum/purple tint.

I am not wearing any type of coverage in this pictures so sorry for my “mustache” looking dark spot (upper lip) I get it every summer and then it goes away. I’ll get into that on another post. Anyway I must say that these lipsticks feel amazing on my lips. They are so moisturizing and my lips feel soft and plumped. They are as long lasting as a lip balm can be, but…They do leave a nice color stain when the balm is gone and I personally like that.

So far this is a very nice collection. check it out at http://www.chanel.com

My Fave Finds This Summer!

photo 1

Hello peeps!

I’ve been MIA for a while but I’m back!  I was for a whole month in magical Ibiza. Jelly yet??? It was so much fun and relaxing: family, beach, food, Gin tonics…Ok i am going to stop hahaha. For this post I wanted to share with you three of my latest beauty finds =)

photo 3

Let’s start with Gaudalie Huile Divine: Yes. it’s divine! This dry oil is packed with antioxidants from grapeseed as well as firming and moisturizing oils from argan, sesame, and hibiscus. It absorbs super fast leaving my skin soft and glowing. It has been a life saver after all these weeks under the sun. My skin was thirsty and needed something really hydrating. It says you can use it on your face and hair too…therefore it is a perfect multitasking oil to take on your next vacation. One more thing! It is free from parabens, sulfates, and phthalates. In Europe you can find this product/brand almost at any drug store/pharmacy. In the U.S you can find it at http://www.sephora.com and sephora stores.

photo 2

Every summer I breakout! The combination of heat, humidity, and SPF creams are like a bomb for my skin. Two weeks ago my cheeks were full of mini pimples until I found La Roche-Posay EFFACLAR MAT. According to what it says on the tube, this is a sebo-regulating moisturizer, anti-shine, and anti-enlarged pores. You can wear it day and night. It has a matte finish so it is great for oily/combination skin. It really keeps your skin moisturized and I am breaking out less every day. My pores are definitely smaller and it is a great make-up base. This brand is very popular in Europe and their products are formulated for people with sensitive skin. They have no parabens or fragrances that can irritate the skin. I know I’ve seen this brand at Walgreens pharmacies if you live in the U.S. So far I am very pleased with the product, I am not sure it will be moisturizing enough during winter weather but I will keep you posted.

photo 4photo 5My everyday lipstick this summer was this Nars in Blonde Venus . Very natural shade, almost nude but it gives you a hint of color. It is in between glossy and matte. My lips feel soft and hydrated. Staying power…? I can give it a 6.5 out of 10. Great for everyday natural make-up or great to pair with a smokey eye at night. You can find this lipstick at department stores, http://www.sephora.com or http://www.nars.com.

Chanel Les Beiges and Nails

Image

I really do try not to expose my face to the sun during Summer but still it gets tan…So that said my skin tone changes in Summer and my regular foundation shades to not work. Since I don’t use foundation everyday I didn’t want to get a new foundation with a different shade because I know I will not use it all and it will be expired by next Summer. So, anyway…I went to buy some stuff and passed by the Chanel counter (duh) and I tried the New Les Beiges Healthy Glow Fluid…Loved it. It is everything I want for the Summer. It is lighter than a foundation but still it gives me some coverage. It is a tinted moisturizer with SPF 15 and I got a perfect shade to match my tan. Good size and since it is not heavy I know I will wear it almost everyday and will be done with it by the end of the season when my skin goes back to its original shade. It gives me a beautiful glow and makes my skin tone look more uniform. I also got two new nail polish shades which I have yet to try (I will post swatches soon). The white one is shade #613 “Eastern Light” and the other one is #615 “Sweet Lilac” they look beautiful but I will let you know soon.

This is the color I purchased in N40…Blends great with my tan! Not heavy or cakey. Leaves skin with a dewy glow while covering imperfections 😉 Have you tried any of the products from Les Beiges by Chanel?

Dior Summer Nails

Image

Hello! So, I am loving these New Dior Nail Polishes. Front Row (769) is a vibrant reddish, hot pink with the perfect amount of shimmer. The color goes on like a dream. With just one coat you get the color to look just like you see it from the bottle. The color is glossy and saturated. I applied two coats to make it more intense and rich but believe me with just one is enough in case you need a quick “mani”.

Porcelaine (204) is a powder, baby blue, pastel color. So beautiful but I did have to apply 3 coats. With just one coat it looks very sheer. On the second coat you start to see the color nicely, but if you want it to look like you see it in the bottle you better apply three coats. So, in this case the color was not as intense and saturated as Front Row but still I like it. Also if you don’t like such a bold look on your nails you can leave it sheer or go as intense as you would like.

Selfie time with these babies 😉 I am wearing Front Row (Below)

I must say that I love the brush on this Dior nail polishes. It makes the application very easy because of it’s tapered corners and soft bristles. I usually end up with a little bit of a mess around my nails when I do my own manicure, but this time I hardly had anything to clean after I was done =)

Laters peeps! xx

My Tools Against Cellulite this Summer

Image

So…Summer is like right around the corner and I know we all have started taking extra care of our bodies in the past weeks. Maybe by going to the gym more often, watching our diet more closely, or buying firming and anti-cellulite creams. I will tell you about three things that I have incorporated into my beauty regime every morning to improve my skin and look bikini ready this summer.

There is one cream that I have been using for years now and that is CLARINS Body Lift Cellulite Control. I always try the new creams and gels on the market but I keep coming back to this one from Clarins every single time. It is the only cream that shows me results in as little as a week if I use it and massage it every morning or night. When I have time I use it twice a day. This cream is great to activate circulation and diminish the appearance of celullite. You can find this cream at most department stores and at http://www.sephora.com

Before I go in the shower every morning I brush my skin. Yes! I brush my skin with a cactus brush like the one on the picture. This brush helps in order to exfoliate, detoxify, and improve circulation. This brush can do wonders to your skin used regularly.  Skin brushing is more common than you think. Celebrities like Miranda Kerr swear by it and will not go a day without brushing. Even thou the bristles are made out of cactus please do not freak out! They are not soft but will not hurt or poke you. You start from your toes and move your way up until you reach your neck. Skin brushing has become very popular and you can find this brushes online or in stores. I bought mine from Elemis at http://www.elemis.com and it was around $45.

Last but not least I bring you the Cellu-Cup! I found this product inside my Birchbox (Spain). I was so curious about it. It looked like anything but and anti-cellulite tool if you know what I mean 😉 I immediately went online and watched a video explaining how to use it and that night I started. It did hurt a little and after the 2nd day I had a couple of bruises. After the fifth day I hardly felt any pain and I am very happy using it. Now I use it every other day and it is like having a contouring massage at home instead of paying for it at an expensive spa. You must use a body oil or cream to make the Cellu-Cup glide. This product is not available yet in the States but if you live in Europe you can find it at http://www.cellu-cup.com or if you have a friend that lives in Europe they can send it to you.

So that was my anti-cellulite routine! Leave a comment if you have any questions… =)

Apples for Cheeks & Lips

Image

Hello Peeps!

So last month one of the samples I got in my Birchbox (Spain) was a lip and cheek cream color from THE BALM. I immediately fell in love with it. I went online to get it and I saw that the full size came with 6 gorgeous shades in a beautiful palette.  I have already tried all of them and I can already tell this will be my “go to” palette for the summer. The packaging is so pretty and vintage like all The Balm products. The texture is creamy which makes them easy to blend but not greasy at all.

Image

The packaging like I mentioned before is beautiful and comes with a mirror!

Image

You can play with the colors and make them as intense or as natural as you would like. My favorite shade is “Pie”. I love cream blushes because they give a much more natural finish than powder blushes in my opinion. Before I found these I was using the Chanel cream blush which was 45 Euros per shade. This palette was 25 Euros and it comes with 6 beautiful shades and they are just as good as the Chanel ones.

You can find “How ‘Bout them Apples” palette here http://www.birchbox.es or http://www.thebalm.com

Till next post 😉
