Milk Makeup… I’m Obsessed!

IMG_4519

I kept seeing this brand everywhere; Sephora, Urban Outfitters, Facebook…etc. I needed to find out what the fuss was all about. I bought the mascara and the lip + cheek tint. Both product are very good and I love the fact that they are made out of natural ingredients…Let’s get deeper into both products:

Milk Lip + Cheek Tint in Rally: Lovely texture and color…very easy to blend but since I have combination skin it will not stay on for long and I have to re-apply…not a big deal I still like it.

Milk Ubame Mascara in Inked: This mascara is definitely my favorite lately. Since I got it this is the only mascara I have been wearing. It gives my lashes definition and length. plus the look is so natural…what a surprise…love this mascara! Run and get it πŸ˜‰

I think I will go back and get some more products from Milk…Will keep you posted!

Scalp Exfoliation…So Important for Beautiful & Healthy Hair!

Sea-Salt

This has become a huge step in my beauty routine. But still, tons of people have no idea how important it is to exfoliate our scalps at least once a week for shiny gorgeous hair. Our scalp is just like skin and it needs to be cleansed properly (not just with shampoo). We usually exfoliate our faces and bodies but we neglect that very important part of our head. Our scalp get full of dirt and buildup from hair products and it is crucial for healthy hair and scalp to never skip this step (once or twice a week). from dry scalp to hair loss…exfoliating our scalp can have major benefits and solve some of the following problems:

-Greasy Scalp

-Dandruff

-Itchy Dry Scalp

-Hair Loss

-Hair Thinning

-Improve Circulation

-Lack of Volume

These are some of my favorite products to exfoliate my scalp:

Lush BIG Sea Salt Shampoo http://www.lush.com & Christophe Robin Purifying Hair Scrub http://www.sephora.com

sea-salt-shampoo

If you want to make your own hair/scalp scrub you can mix thick sea salt with olive oil and you can add an essential oil like tea tree, rosemary, or lavender oil. Just massage it into your scalp and let it work for at least 45 minutes…The more you leave it on the bettaaaaa πŸ˜‰

Until next time…

My Favorite Sunscreen

COOLA

I have very sensitive skin. Every single sunscreen I’ve tried (no matter how expensive or if it’s oil free) they always break out. Plus I have combination skin and I find most sunscreens to be super heavy and I end up looking like a disco ball at the end of the day. Two years ago I got a free sample at a beauty store and I tried COOLA MINERAL SUNSCREEN. I loved the fact that it is all natural and 100% ORGANIC. It has like a whipped texture and it is super super light. Plus it has a matte finish which goes perfect with my combination skin. This product is packed with natural Rose Hip Oil which is rich in free radical fighting Vitamin C. Naturally calming Evening Primrose and Flax Seed Oils deliver abundant Omega-3 and Gamma-Linolenic Acid to improve elasticity and help skin retain moisture. Natural Shea Butter smoothes and hydrates while the phyto-protector Plankton Extract rejuvenates skin. These are all amazing/powerful ingredients. I never break out with this sunscreen which is totally amazing because I have been using it for two years and I am still hooked. Each tube lasts 4-5 months (in my case)…COOLA products are not cheap but really not that expensive compared to other luxury beauty brands which products are full of chemicals and artificial fragrances. Therefore COOLA prices are totally worth it…at least to me. You can find the entire line at http://www.coolasuncare.com and at http://www.sephora.com.

BabyFace Medspa…Beauty Day!

So I really needed a facial…My skin was really asking me for it. I was breaking out everyday. My complexion looked dull and just lifeless. Total nightmare =(. I really wanted to try something different. Not the typical facial you can get done anywhere and leaves your face looking like popcorn. I decided to go to BABYFACE MEDSPA in Brickell. Patricia who is the owner and the sweetest ever told me I should try a HYDRAFACIAL.Β HydraFacial is the only hydradermabrasion procedure that combines cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, hydration and antioxidant protection simultaneously, resulting in clearer, more beautiful skin with no discomfort or downtime. The treatment is soothing, moisturizing, non-invasive and non-irritating.

So excited to try this new facial! Follow me on Snapchat: danigarcia86

After my HYDRAFACIAL Patricia did a little of rejuvenating laser which is great to stimulate collagen and firm skin. Everything took no more than an hour and I was so happy with the results. My skin looked decongested, glowy, and my pores… you could not even see them. What I liked the best about this facial is that my skin did not look irritated at all and I just went on with my day with a fabulous and glowy looking complexion.

BabyFace Medspa is located at 175 SW Street, Suite 1916. Miami, FL 33130

My Fave Finds This Summer!

photo 1

Hello peeps!

I’ve been MIA for a while but I’m back!Β  I was for a whole month in magical Ibiza. Jelly yet??? It was so much fun and relaxing: family, beach, food, Gin tonics…Ok i am going to stop hahaha. For this post I wanted to share with you three of my latest beauty finds =)

photo 3

Let’s start with Gaudalie Huile Divine: Yes. it’s divine! This dry oil is packed with antioxidants from grapeseed as well as firming and moisturizing oils from argan, sesame, and hibiscus. It absorbs super fast leaving my skin soft and glowing. It has been a life saver after all these weeks under the sun. My skin was thirsty and needed something really hydrating. It says you can use it on your face and hair too…therefore it is a perfect multitasking oil to take on your next vacation. One more thing! It is free from parabens, sulfates, and phthalates. In Europe you can find this product/brand almost at any drug store/pharmacy. In the U.S you can find it at http://www.sephora.com and sephora stores.

photo 2

Every summer I breakout! The combination of heat, humidity, and SPF creams are like a bomb for my skin. Two weeks ago my cheeks were full of mini pimples until I found La Roche-Posay EFFACLAR MAT. According to what it says on the tube, this is a sebo-regulating moisturizer, anti-shine, and anti-enlarged pores. You can wear it day and night. It has a matte finish so it is great for oily/combination skin. It really keeps your skin moisturized and I am breaking out less every day. My pores are definitely smaller and it is a great make-up base. This brand is very popular in Europe and their products are formulated for people with sensitive skin. They have no parabens or fragrances that can irritate the skin. I know I’ve seen this brand at Walgreens pharmacies if you live in the U.S. So far I am very pleased with the product, I am not sure it will be moisturizing enough during winter weather but I will keep you posted.

photo 4photo 5My everyday lipstick this summer was this Nars in Blonde Venus . Very natural shade, almost nude but it gives you a hint of color. It is in between glossy and matte. My lips feel soft and hydrated. Staying power…? I can give it a 6.5 out of 10. Great for everyday natural make-up or great to pair with a smokey eye at night. You can find this lipstick at department stores, http://www.sephora.com or http://www.nars.com.

Chanel Les Beiges and Nails

Image

I really do try not to expose my face to the sun during Summer but still it gets tan…So that said my skin tone changes in Summer and my regular foundation shades to not work. Since I don’t use foundation everyday I didn’t want to get a new foundation with a different shade because I know I will not use it all and it will be expired by next Summer. So, anyway…I went to buy some stuff and passed by the Chanel counter (duh) and I tried the New Les Beiges Healthy Glow Fluid…Loved it. It is everything I want for the Summer. It is lighter than a foundation but still it gives me some coverage. It is a tinted moisturizer with SPF 15 and I got a perfect shade to match my tan. Good size and since it is not heavy I know I will wear it almost everyday and will be done with it by the end of the season when my skin goes back to its original shade. It gives me a beautiful glow and makes my skin tone look more uniform. I also got two new nail polish shades which I have yet to try (I will post swatches soon). The white one is shade #613 “Eastern Light” and the other one is #615 “Sweet Lilac” they look beautiful but I will let you know soon.

This is the color I purchased in N40…Blends great with my tan! Not heavy or cakey. Leaves skin with a dewy glow while covering imperfections πŸ˜‰ Have you tried any of the products from Les Beiges by Chanel?

My Tools Against Cellulite this Summer

Image

So…Summer is like right around the corner and I know we all have started taking extra care of our bodies in the past weeks. Maybe by going to the gym more often, watching our diet more closely, or buying firming and anti-cellulite creams. I will tell you about three things that I have incorporated into my beauty regime every morning to improve my skin and look bikini ready this summer.

There is one cream that I have been using for years now and that is CLARINS Body Lift Cellulite Control. I always try the new creams and gels on the market but I keep coming back to this one from Clarins every single time. It is the only cream that shows me results in as little as a week if I use it and massage it every morning or night. When I have time I use it twice a day. This cream is great to activate circulation and diminish the appearance of celullite. You can find this cream at most department stores and at http://www.sephora.com

Before I go in the shower every morning I brush my skin. Yes! I brush my skin with a cactus brush like the one on the picture. This brush helps in order to exfoliate, detoxify, and improve circulation. This brush can do wonders to your skin used regularly.Β  Skin brushing is more common than you think. Celebrities like Miranda Kerr swear by it and will not go a day without brushing. Even thou the bristles are made out of cactus please do not freak out! They are not soft but will not hurt or poke you. You start from your toes and move your way up until you reach your neck. Skin brushing has become very popular and you can find this brushes online or in stores. I bought mine from Elemis at http://www.elemis.com and it was around $45.

Last but not least I bring you the Cellu-Cup! I found this product inside my Birchbox (Spain). I was so curious about it. It looked like anything but and anti-cellulite tool if you know what I mean πŸ˜‰ I immediately went online and watched a video explaining how to use it and that night I started. It did hurt a little and after the 2nd day I had a couple of bruises. After the fifth day I hardly felt any pain and I am very happy using it. Now I use it every other day and it is like having a contouring massage at home instead of paying for it at an expensive spa. You must use a body oil or cream to make the Cellu-Cup glide. This product is not available yet in the States but if you live in Europe you can find it at http://www.cellu-cup.com or if you have a friend that lives in Europe they can send it to you.

So that was my anti-cellulite routine! Leave a comment if you have any questions… =)

Apples for Cheeks & Lips

Image

Hello Peeps!

So last month one of the samples I got in my Birchbox (Spain) was a lip and cheek cream color from THE BALM. I immediately fell in love with it. I went online to get it and I saw that the full size came with 6 gorgeous shades in a beautiful palette.Β  I have already tried all of them and I can already tell this will be my “go to” palette for the summer. The packaging is so pretty and vintage like all The Balm products. The texture is creamy which makes them easy to blend but not greasy at all.

Image

The packaging like I mentioned before is beautiful and comes with a mirror!

Image

You can play with the colors and make them as intense or as natural as you would like. My favorite shade is “Pie”. I love cream blushes because they give a much more natural finish than powder blushes in my opinion. Before I found these I was using the Chanel cream blush which was 45 Euros per shade. This palette was 25 Euros and it comes with 6 beautiful shades and they are just as good as the Chanel ones.

Chanel Color

Chanel Color

So this weekend I had to buy a present for a friend and I coudn’t resist getting some goodies for myself…Passing by the CHANEL counter I found some beautiful shades for the season.

Joues Contraste in VIVACITE 88: Gorgeous deep/dark almost purple pink. This color brings warmth and instant life to your cheeks. Perfect shade of pink blush for the Summer.

Levres Scintillantes Glossimer in 119. Perfect nude/pink gloss to enhance your natural lip color with a hint of shimmer. Love, love this lip. Great to use during the day and perfect to pair with a bold smoky eye at night.

Stylo Yeux Waterproof in BLEU METALLIQUE 909. Fabulous aqua/green metallic blue shade. I believe this color looks great on light and brown eyes. I tried it on Saturday night on my lower lashes and it looked great…The only problem is that it is not as long lasting as I expected. I will be using it a lot this Summer and try fun colorful looks with it.

*Check out my previous post to see the the swatches.

Muahhhhhh!

Nail Candy

Nail Candy

Miami was always sunny and beautiful, very hot but beautiful nonetheless. Now that I live in Madrid I am so glad that Spring is here…That means Summer is just around the corner and it also means It’s time to start shopping fun and colorful nail polishes. My latest are these from Ciate!

“Access All Areas” is a coral/red warm shade (I used it on my toes)
“Headliner” Turquoise color…gorgeous blue and green cocktail (I used it on my hands)
“Antique Brooch” This one I have yet to try but it looks glittery, gold, and sparkly! I will get back to you on this one πŸ˜‰

*I must add that the first two colors need a shine coat on top because otherwise the color is very matte.
